(Albuquerque, N.M.—Oct. 26 , 2020) Kane Robotics (KRI), a leader in designing and developing collaborative robotic systems for manufacturing and construction applications, is pleased to announce that they have joined 3M’s Robotics Network.
KRI was established to deliver next-generation robotic automation to help aerospace and defense manufacturers meet high-mix/low-volume production needs. Now, KRI plans aggressive expansion into the overall manufacturing and construction sectors, with innovations that improve lagging productivity and inefficiencies. We are proud to announce that we are joining the 3M Robotics Network.
3M’s Abrasive Systems Division (ASD) is a leading manufacturer of abrasive products used in industrial applications. ASD brings new and effective solutions to market to enhance their customer’s efficiency and effectiveness. To enable their customers to have broader access to leading robotics system integrators and to provide those leading systems integrators with technical, sales and marketing support, ASD created the System Integrator Network Program. This selective program is designed to foster the long-term growth of 3M and its robotics partners through collaboration and expertise delivery, including the continued development and introduction of new products and solutions.
“As the newest member of 3M’s Robotics Network, and the first to focus exclusively on collaborative robotics, we are excited to leverage 3M’s vast knowledge and experience in abrasives to help our mutual customers solve the toughest sanding, grinding and finishing challenges.” says John Spruce, chief executive officer for KRI. “Our lightweight, low-cost and rapidly-deployable collaborative automation solutions will enable our customers to free up their skilled workforce from time-consuming, repetitive manufacturing tasks.”
Matt Purdin, Global Robotics and Automation Marketing Manager in 3M’s Abrasive Systems Division remarked “We are excited that KRI has decided to join our program, we believe that their capabilities are a good fit and will drive a great deal of value to our customers. We are looking forward to growing the robotic material removal market segment together.”
